The skin of the lips has a different structure from the skin of the rest of the face and body, and therefore your lips need very specific products. They're constantly exposed to the sun, wind, cold, or even dry air, so it's not unusual for them to feel uncomfortable – and especially when there's a change in season. The fragility of the lips can be explained by their specific characteristics. The skin here is five times thinner than elsewhere on your face, and there are no sebaceous glands or sweat glands either. The lips have no stratum corneum, and their hydrolipidic film is very sensitive. So how can you look after them if you also want to use lip makeup, but don't want to use countless lip products?

Absolution has found the solution! Once again, we joined forces with celebrity makeup artist Christophe Danchaud, this time to create Le Lip Glow. This new "hybrid" formula cares for the lips while giving them a silky, shiny, tinted finish that's never, ever sticky. Le Lip Glow is a lip oil that transforms into an emollient gel film; a new-generation lip gloss that's perfect for anyone who wants to transition to a more natural, certified-organic makeup routine. To keep lips hydrated and beautiful every day, we chose to use a blend of botanical oils that would deeply nourish the lips and protect them against environmental aggressors. There's Jojoba oil with healing properties, Macadamia Nut oil to fight dryness, and Argan oil, known for its emollient and hydrating benefits. Finally, Silica and Mica – two minerals that are sustainably and ethically sourced – give lips a radiant finish thanks to their high refractive index. They might be the last ingredients you'd expect in a lip gloss, but they do help to give lips a glow!

A tip from Christophe
I use Lip Glow to make a matte lipstick glossy, but I also like to add a touch in the middle of the lower lip and just below the Cupid's bow to make lips really pop and look very sexy!
